LionAid are the UK charity working globally to save lions and end the decline of wild lion populations. We carry out world leading research into lion conservation and engage directly with politicians and decision makers in the UK, Europe, Africa and Internationally. We are at the forefront of highlighting the true plight of lion populations, canned/captive hunting and the trophy hunting trade. The only sustainable solutions involve all stake-holders, which is why we do more than just talk about it, we are working directly with tribes-people and their leaders in Africa to put in place sustainable and effective programs to help save lions. When you support LionAid, you support lions.

LionAid: We are Saving Lions

Support Lions? Support LionAid to Make a Real Difference

At LionAid we are dedicated to the conservation and protection of wild lion populations. You may be surprised to learn about the many threats to lions, especially when you discover how, despite well intentioned efforts, approximately 93% of wild lion populations have been killed or died in the last 50 years. The usual way of conserving animals has not worked so well which is why LionAid was created. We are doing things differently by working directly with local communities, leaders and politicians in Africa as well as key decision makers and politicians in the UK, US, the EU to put in place sustainable policies to ensure that lions don't disappear for ever. When you want to support lions then support LionAid, because we're making a real difference.
