John Rendall
Not many of you will need an introduction to John Rendall whose emotional reunion with Christian the Lion in Kenya has touched the hearts of millions!

Through his relationship with Christian, from buying him as a cub in a well -known London store in the late 60s to returning him to live life as a wild lion under the watchful eye of George Adamson, John developed a life-long interest in conservation and has worked tirelessly since that time to highlight the plight of our remaining fragile lion populations.

In John's own words:

"Christian's story is playing an important role in making people aware not only of the threats to the lion population, such as poaching, but to all African wildlife. In my lectures, I say that wildlife is the most endangered cash-crop in Kenya. If the wildlife goes, the whole tourist industry it supports will collapse, too."

We met John a few years back and since that time, John has always been ready to lend a hand whenever we have asked for his help. He has always voiced his support for our work and it now gives us very great pleasure to announce that John has agreed to become a Patron of LionAid.

We salute you, John, you will be a big asset to our team and we look forward to working alongside you to help secure a future for our beloved lions.

If you have not already signed up to our mailing list, you can add your name here and keep up to date with our ongoing work and, most importantly, DONATE to support our work to conserve the remaining fragile lion populations. Thank you.
