We have just received a lovely message from one of LionAid’s Patrons, the wonderful Diane Keen who cares so passionately about saving lions and would have dearly loved to march with us next Saturday.
Diane says:
“To all the amazing people who care enough to join our March for Lions on 30th April and the incredibly generous celebrities who’ve given up their time to stand with us, a HUGE thank you. I’m so proud to be patron of Lionaid and am devastated I can’t be there with you all. I’ll be at the Aldwych Theatre doing a matinee of “Beautiful the Carole King Musical” so near yet so far!!
Your energy and dedication to this March can literally save Lions from becoming extinct so please persuade all your friends and families to March with you. Our Lions need you. I want to hear your ROAR all the way from Downing Street to the Strand!! “
Diane is a real lion braveheart! Last year she climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, the tallest mountain on the African continent and the highest free standing mountain in the world – all to raise money to help LionAid’s work. Not only did she succeed in getting to the top of the mountain but, as we later discovered, she did so with a broken bone in her foot! Listen to Diane talking about it here.
We love you dearly Diane and we know you will be with us in spirit and we will ROAR even louder at the March to make sure you hear us loud and clear!
