LionAid is a charitable organisation, registered in England and Wales. LionAid was formed in 2010 to encourage better protection of wild lions in Africa with focused and innovative programmes. LionAid has a long history of engagement in Africa and works on all sorts of levels - political in the UK and the European Union and Africa - with support of African wildlife departments and communities - and African politicians like the former President of Botswana and the current President of Zambia.
