KENT SCOUTS LIONAID CHALLENGE Kent Scouts are doing a LIONAID CHALLENGE across the month of October, to funds for our work – especially our successful human/wildlife conflict mitigation project in Merrueshi, Kenya.
Watch this video where Alan Noake, MBE, Assistant County Commissioner Global Projects and Community Impact for Kent Scouts, interviews Christine Macsween, LionAid Director and Trustee, about the project. This Kent Scouts Community Impact event is open to the whole Kent Scout community – squirrels, beavers, cubs, scouts, explorers, networkers and leaders. In order to gain this wonderful LIONAID CHALLENGE badge, the participants must complete all of the following tasks:
L Learn about lionsin the wildand their plight IInvestigate why there is a need for LionAid O Organise a debate or discussion about lions N Night of fun and educational lion themed activities A Answer a set of quiz questions about lion facts I Illustrate a poster about the issues facing lions D Donate or FUNDRAISE £5 or more for LIONAID
We are only on the 2nd October but already there are several Kent Scout groups participating in this Challenge and to date, they have already donated 3% of the fundraising target.
Good luck everyone and a huge thank you from LionAid for everyone adding their donation to this amazing Challenge. Tags: lions, fundraising, Kent Scouts Categories: Events/Fundraising |
